60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, 365 days in a year, and an average of 80 years in a life.
In all that time, just think, you can truly do soooo much. You may not be able to save a million starfish but you can save at least one. You may not be able to adopt 100 children but you can provide for 1 orphan. You may not be on the NBA but you can help out the local Boys and Girls Club where 1 day, 1 child could be the next Kobe Bryant.
When we have 1000 nights to dream, we can make at least 1 dream come true.
So what is it that you want to do? What do you want to pursue? What dream and desire has God put on your heart?
I’m not sure if you knew this or not, but I’m a Disney fanatic. On my 19th birthday, when most young ladies are wanting to go out with their friends, I asked my parents to take me to the Contemporary Resort and Disney World for a night. Probably the hardest part about running the Disney marathon the week after Hayden, my youngest son, passed away, was going into the Magic Kingdom where we had made so many memories together. So when I had the opportunity to take a class with the Disney Institute to learn the Excellence in Leadership within the Walt Disney Company, I jumped on it. This is all in pursuit of the desires of my heart, which are inline with God’s desires for me.
Let your dreams and desires line up with God’s dreams and desires for you.
Esther 4:14 “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
1 year ago, I felt God leading me to get my MBA. Why, you might ask. I’ve started once before, but before I was doing it for my own reasons, this time it was only because God told me to. I’m actually not positive why exactly, besides God, but that’s why it’s all in God’s time, revealed in God’s time.
It all takes TIME.
But in this time, God has a purpose. He has a reason for each thing He gives us. He has taught me a ton, given me opportunities beyond anything I could’ve ever expected, and introduced me to so many new, different people from different areas and different backgrounds.
In time, we follow the journey and reach new goals. We experience life and death, joy and sadness, and throughout all of time we have hope. Hope for what’s next and what’s just around the corner.
So go for it. Don’t give up. Follow your dreams and His desires. It’s going to take time, but that’s something He’s given you. Time….it’s all about Time.
