Day 203 –
What do you desire most for the future?
Isaiah 44:3-5 “For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams. Some will say, ‘I belong to the Lord’; others will call themselves by the name of Jacob; still others will write on their hand, ‘The Lord’s,’ and will take the name Israel.”
Earlier this week, my husband was planning some goals for our future. A friend of ours asked, “Well what’s most important to you?” And My husband answered, “That my children have an even deeper relationship with Christ than myself.”
Isn’t that what we should all desire most?
God promises to those He has chosen that He will pour out His Spirit and blessings upon their children. Each one of His chosen’s offspring will claim His Name, and that brings me an abundance of Joy! This promise confirms the Faith I already have, it gives me the greatest Hope for my Future.
This one truth makes life in Eternity so worth the wait. It makes our work here on this earth even more important.
Tonight, as I walk outside with my God Son, in the beautiful beach air, I look up to the Heavens and look down at the angel kiss on the side of his head. This little reminder is the one thing I prayed God would give him, and I said, “Hayden would have really loved it here,” and my heart leapt. My sweet, youngest child, already waits on me in Heaven because God chose me as His, and I’m thankful! So I Smile.
What’s your greatest desire for the future? Where do you find your heart?
Make God’s desire for you, your desire for the future.
