What’s getting in your way?

Day 204 –

What is it getting in the way of others finding their way to Christ?

Isaiah 48:13 “My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I summon them, they all stand up together.”

The Lord wants His Church to stand together as well!

God’s greatest commandment is to first love Him and second to love one another. Lately, I’ve truly been torn up inside. Not because of the terror and evil across the nation and world, God said that would come, but because of the Church, Christ’s Church.

How can a church RISE up if we can’t even stop judging one another?

How can THE church RISE up if instead of helping one another we try to outdo one another?

How can we expect love across a nation if that nation sees “Christian’s” gossiping about one another?

How can we expect equality, if we don’t think every Christ following, Bible teaching Church is equal?

How can we expect people to forgive if we the church are holding grudges against each other?

How can we preach Grace if we practice Legalism?

Are we reverting back to the Pharisee’s or the Sadducees? Aren’t we supposed to be followers of “The Way”?

I believe it is our Expectations of one another that get in the way! If we expected of ourselves what we expect of others we would be helping our brothers and sisters out along the way, instead we push them out of the way and AWAY from the way to Christ!

Church, Let us love one another as Christ Loves Us!

There is no way for us to rise up if we are holding each other down. The only down I want to get is on my knees daily because I hurt for our nation, I hurt for our children, but most of all I hurt for our brothers and sisters in Christ because we aren’t acting like God’s children! We are being selfish, judgmental, hateful, jealous, truly un-Christlike. So what do we need to do?

Colossians 3:12-15 “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”

Some of the greatest blessings we can experience are friendships reunited, families healed, and the church working together….this is LOVE….this is Christ! This is what God wants most. Are you willing? Go LOVE!
