Spinning out of Control

Day 232 –

Do you feel like the world is spinning out of control?

Ezekiel 25:6-7 “For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet, rejoicing with all the malice of your heart against the land of Israel, therefore I will stretch out my hand against you and give you as plunder to the nations. I will wipe you out from among the nations and exterminate you from the countries. I will destroy you, and you will know that I am the Lord.’”

God is Good, I promise! But this verse shows what He did to those that didn’t fear Him, that went around doing as they pleased without any concern for the repercussions.

Have you ever just stopped, looked around and thought, WOW, this place is spinning out of control?

You see, the problem is, the majority of the world still goes around doing as they please: killing the innocent, using foul language, living double lives, hurting children, ruining marriages, spreading rumors, placing judgment, etc. And these are on the lighter side of what’s happening.

It’s as though no one fears GOD.

Yet, while everyone is making these poor decisions, we are asking God to bless us and we can’t understand why God is allowing the world to fall apart.

Question of the hour: Why would a Good God allow so much bad?

The state of the world isn’t brought on by a Good God, it’s been brought about by the consequences of the choices “we” (the people) have made over an extended period of time.

Recently, a friend was telling me about this Israeli pastor who came to the U.S. to visit churches and preach a sermon. The pastor was shocked at all he witnessed and noted, that there are things happening here in the states that he’s never seen in Israel. He stated that in Israel they still abide by an eye for an eye and so people are less likely to break the law. It’s not that they are constantly punishing people but they never lightened up on the truth so it is still feared as truth.

God is good because He knew what was Good for us in the beginning. He gave us His Word to stand on and to abide in so that we wouldn’t be hurt and “spin” out of control.

How about we decide today to stop spinning out of control by, seeking His face daily, trusting in His Word and fearing Him by loving Him because He is a Good God and He has Good plans for us.
