Day 240 –
Be the Few!
Daniel 3:6, 12 “Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.” But there are some Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego—who pay no attention to you, Your Majesty. They neither serve your gods nor worship the image of gold you have set up.”
We are all going to come against opposition at some point in our life, especially if we are following Christ. This opposition or situation will throw us into a fire that we weren’t expecting much less wanting.
We must remember, when we are in or staring at the fire, that it is Satan and his evil minions coming against us, not people. It’s easy to get distracted from the real reason we are in the place we are, that’s why it is so extremely important to keep our eyes focused on the Lord and our heart fully trusting in His Sovereignty.
More often than not it is easier to deny our beliefs and move forward with the views of this world than stay determined to do exactly as God would want.
The world is watching our every move, Christians are watching our every decision, thanks to technology and social media everyone is watching us.
Because of the visibility and availability it is even more important to claim your Faith in the fire.
Daniel 3:16-18 “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
It is by your Faith that you will make it into and out of the fire without any sign of being in the fire at all. There will be no scent of smoke, no burnt skin, no sizzled hair.
It is through your Faith in the fire that God will will leave His essence and the Presence of the Lord on you to lead others to Him.
Be the Few in the Fire that lean completely on the Savior to see them through no matter the outcome.
Trust fully in God and Fully experience the Joy of the Lord on the other side of the Fire.
