Day 257 –
Boundaries make me free.
Zechariah 8:16-17 “These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts; do not plot evil against each other, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this,” declares the Lord.”
God’s Word isn’t just a set of guidelines, but more a set of boundary lines linked to freedom. He set these up thousands of years ago, to give freedom to to the people of this earth.
These lines aren’t meant to restrain us from the good things of life, instead, they bring us life, set us free, and make the journey we’re on a safer one.
These boundaries give us freedom to experience all that God has set before us…..His PURE, SWEET, GOODNESS.
There was a period in my life when I CHOSE to ignore all the boundaries and was truly enslaved to sin. This sin placed me into my darkest, deepest, most horrifying days. Then one day, through the rain outside my window and the warm tears falling down my face, God opened my eyes, removed the fog and revealed the boundary lines once again.
In that moment, I chose the boundaries and became free to fly!
The more we recognize the goodness in the Lord’s Word and in his protective boundaries, the closer our heavenly home will look to us. The safer and freer we will feel.
Everyone at some point may think the boundaries of God’s Word is holding them back, until they let go, and realize the boundary lines are actually setting them free.
