Day 288 –
I believe there is A battle within EACH one of us holding us back with the thought that we were created to just exist. However, In all Truth, we were created to truly LIVE.
Acts 17:26-28 “And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’
The human race has gotten comfortable with “just being”. We enjoy being catered to by every other person and entity.
As a whole we’ve got this feeling of entitlement.
God didn’t create us with this mindset. He made us to take care of others, to care for the earth and all of it’s living creatures, and to work the land until we grew so tired that we crave a day to rest.
Life’s not meant to be about “Us” but about “Others”.
God brought His Son to this earth, born in a small manger (completely uncomfortable). So why should we, Christ’s brothers and sisters, God’s offspring, have life’s that are comfortable?!
Philippians 1:21 “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
We are to care for one another as God cares for us. We are to share the gospel and not be complacent with just being saved. We are to live so much during the day that when we get to the night all we can do is rest.
Honestly, I fall into complacency every so often, and when I do I become completely depressed, feeling totally alone. However, when I LIVE, TRULY LIVE, the Joy of Christ runs so deep within me that essentially I become Alive in Him.
Today was one of those days that I could wake up and live over and over and over again. My children actually enjoyed being with one another, we all pitched in to get all the housework done, I walked our dog because I wanted to and sang worship songs while walking by others. I shared my love for Christ in ways that only He could provide and helped others through the gifts God has given me. Today was one of those days that I TRULY LIVED for Christ as He has called me to and I loved it!
My family, like my heart, was full today and it was Good.
When we live as Christ wants us to live we live Beautifully!
How are you living today?
Go TRULY LIVE, Go “Be You To The Full”, Beautiful and Live for Christ!
