Day 295 –
We are more than Conquerors….We are Christians.
Romans 8:35-39 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
What does it mean to be a Christian?
It means you are loved with an unconditional love, flaws and baggage included; it means you accept this love along with the One who loves you.
For accepting His love and He who loves you, nothing is required of you, but His life was required of Him for you.
By Jesus you have been cleansed, released of the baggage and made whole.
Being a Christian doesn’t take us straight out of this world. Be prepared to mess up. Be okay with the occasional oops. No matter what you do or how dirty you get in the process, there is absolutely no way of having His love taken from you.
Once we accept the love Jesus has to give us, He loves us forever. We can’t undo what Jesus has already done. We shouldn’t beat ourselves up over our mistakes, instead we should repent of them and ask God to forgive us for sinning against Him. Then we can go to the person we’ve hurt and ask for forgiveness from them too.
We are more than conquerors!
We are loved and filled with love by the one who has already conquered the world. And if He is for us who can be against us?
Nothing, and I mean Nothing, can take His love away!
